Creative Production - Shinesty

Shinesty is on a mission to force the world to take itself less seriously. As a Creative Production Coordinator I have effectively coordinated, prepped and executed 56 photo and video shoots within the past 8 months. This process involved pre, during and post production.

Blue Harvest CBD is a company I feel personally passionate about working for. CBD was the only antidote for pain after 3 surgeries. I help develop the brand’s reach through social media and email marketing for the Athlete and Lifestyle verticals. Being that I am an Athlete I, it is easy for me to relate and feel intrinsically motivated at BH. Working for this startup keeps me on my toes and allows me to explore new ways of reaching an audience.

Brand Strategist

The Edible Schoolyard Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the transformation of public education by using organic school gardens, kitchens, and cafeterias to teach both academic subjects and the values of nourishment, stewardship, and community. In my time with the team, I created a brand strategy, brand workbook and developed an Initiative to bridge the gap between further education and food systems coursework.

Food Collective Volunteer

The Berkeley Student Food Collective is on a mission to aid students and patrons experiencing food insecurity all while combating food waste. This lovely little store sparked my interest in the food space as I spent each shift inspecting each and every product. I collaborated with other members to ideate creative ways to engage with our customers and create a better shopping experience. The sense of fulfillment I got from each shift was unlike any other position.

User Experience Designer

Cramer-Krasselt is the second largest independent advertising creative agency in the U.S. As an intern I designed digital assets for various clients (Tropicana, Corona, Porsche, Flagstar Bank, etc).

This experience allowed me to put to practice approaches of human centered design with real clients.

Tech Startup Campus Ambassador​

Mentorship platform, InstaViser’s campus program “Golden Ties” was looking to increase student-athlete engagement with the software.

I pitched Cal athletic teams on the product, its benefits and the how-to’s. The startup saw a significant increase in onboarding and usage after I designed meme-like fliers hung around campus with specific call to actions.

I co-founded an innovative startup focused on delivering locally-grown produce to surrounding communities by digitizing vendor sales. As CMO I designed digital assets as well as an award winning promotional video, landing our team in the final pitching carousel.

My best friend Chloe began printing tweets on shirts her freshman year of college. As she prepared to take a semester abroad in Australia I helped keep @retweetees growing and profitable. Running an instagram e-commerce site helped me learn the Adobe design suite (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.), how to retain and maintain customers, how to develop clients (ie. greek organizations, clubs), how to use different softwares to organize a business, and finally how to get scrappy and creative when things don’t go as planned.

As an athlete I decided to find a summer gig working for a brand I both used and felt passionate about, NUUN. I attended marathons, 5Ks, competitions and trade shows, informing vendors and attendees on the product, delivering the pitch and closing the sale.

Fitness, health and personal development have all been a passion of mine since the day I stepped foot on the soccer field. At the gym our patrons often have questions and problems in need of solutions. I must think on my feet, act quickly all while maintaining utmost customer satisfaction. The RSF has given me the opportunity to face one of my weaknesses, confrontation and work towards cultivating it into a strength.

Chicago’s favorite pizza place is always a hustle and bustle. Whether it was waiting tables or entering phone orders, the job took a great deal of mental acuity and attention to detail. Working in a restaurant gave me a greater appreciation for others working in the food industry.
